先月は記事を書くことができませんでしたので、今回はちょっと面白い、それって本当？と思われるようなお話をしたいと思います。

大抵の人がイルカやクジラが知能の高い動物だということを知っています。　Most people know that dolphins and whales are intelligent animals.
彼らは大洋を泳ぎながら様々な音を発して仲間たちと通信しています。　　They make various sounds while swimming in the ocean and communicate with their fellows.
彼らは自分たちの言葉を持っているのかもしれませんが私たちには何を話しているのかはわかりません。　They might have their own language but we never know what they talk about.
ある日、たまたまテレビを見ているとき、一人の学者が僕は鳥の言葉がわかると言っているのを聞きました。　One day, I happened to watch TV and heard a scholar say "I can understand the language of a bird."
彼は20年以上にわたってシジュウカラの鳴き声に耳を傾け、注意深く観察と実験を重ねた結果、この鳥は言葉を話しているという発見に至りました。　He had been listening to great tits sing for more than 20 years and came to discover the bird speaks a language. This is the results of careful and long-term observation and experiments.
彼の話によりますと、彼らのさえずりには 200以上のパターンがあるそうです。　　According to him there are more than 200 patterns in their tweet.
単語だけではなく、彼らは文章を作ることができるとのこと、例えば　「蛇が来た！」「餌がある」とか「集まって！」、「タカが飛んでる」といった言葉をさえずり、仲間たちはそれに従った行動をとるのです。　Besides words, I hear that they can make sentences such as "A snake is coming!", "Here's food." , "Get together" or "A hawk is above " and so on. Other birds react to these adequately.
噓みたいと思う人もいるでしょう。　Some people may think it impossible.
彼は最近論文を発表しましたから、その研究はますます世間の注目を集めています。　He has recently published an academic paper about this. So, the world is paying more and more attention to his study.
