山登りの素晴らしさをもう少し語ってみましょう。

山に登ることを考えるとワクワクします。　When I think of going to the mountains, I always get excited.　（１）
都会の喧騒を離れて、この身が静寂の深い森の中にいることを想像してみてください。　Try to imagine that you are in the silent deep forest away from the noisy city.
聞こえるものは、鳥のさえずりだけ。そして風に気の葉がそよぎます。　All you can hear is birds’ singing.　And the leaves are rustling in the wind.（２）
やまに咲く花々やいろんな種類の木々もあなたを楽しませてくれます。　You can enjoy various alpine flowers and trees of all kinds.
それらの花はとても小さいけれど、それでいてあまりに繊細に作られていて、その美しさに見とれずにはいられません。　　Those flowers are so small, and yet they are made so delicately that I can't help admiring their beauty. （３）
山の頂上に着いた時、素晴らしい眺望が開けます。When you get to the top of the mountain, a specular view is waiting for you.
それまでに苦労した思いは皆消え失せてしまいます。　All the memories of your difficulties have faded away.
そして、何事かを成し遂げた思いでいっぱいになります。　You will be filled with the feeling that you've done something.

今日のポイント
（1）think の使い方　：　think は　that clause を連れて、I think that it will be fine tomorrow.　のように使えますが、　～を思う、～について思うと言う時には　His mother always thinks of him. (母親はいつも彼のことを思っています)、　　別れていく恋人に　I'll always think of you.　　(あなたのことをいつも思っているでしょう。)と言う具合に使います。　また、次に計画しているパリ旅行について考えているなら、　I'm thinking about the next trip to Paris. と言います。

（2）rustle とは、木の葉、絹の服などがサラサラと音を立てるときに用いる擬音語です。

（3）so ~ that ... は、あまりに～なので that 以下だ、　あるいは that 以下な程～だという表現です。彼女はあまりに魅力的なので、男の子たちはみんな彼女に夢中になってしまう。　She is so charming that every boy is crazy about her. 　とか、この夏はあんまり暑かったのでエアコンはフル稼働だった。　This summer was so hot that air conditioners kept working all the time. のように使います。
